My best photo I have taken is of my dog, Cooper. He was laying on my bed in the sun. The strong point of my photo is the texture of his fur and the pillow. To improve this picture, I would fix how dark it was in the background to see his other ear.
Capturing Light
I took my photo in the morning. The light was coming from above through the trees. The photo was looking up at the tree, and the trees created the rule of thirds. The light made streaks coming through the trees. It made an 'x' shape. There were shadows of the trees on the ground. It creates the mood of peace. It makes you feel relaxed.

Mindfulness (Pilgrimage)
The concept of my photo series is mindfulness. Mindfulness is focusing on things in great detail and really noticing the sights and sounds around you in a particular moment. My photos make you look at things in a new way. I explored point of view and depth of field to make the viewer spend time noticing tiny details of structure and textures in nature. Photo 10: This photo relates to my topic, because you don't usually pay much attention to dead plants. It zooms in on the dead flowers and their texture. This photo is strong because of the texture and depth of field. It is taken from the side view of it, and it has a lot of leading lines. I considered depth of field and point of view.
Photo 1: This photo also relates to my topic, because it is an interesting way to look at the stone bench. It does not include all of it, and it includes the trees behind it. Normally, people would focus on the words on the stone. This photo is strong because the contrast of the few red leaves with the rest of the photo. In every photo, I considered depth of field and the point of view.
Photo 9: This photo relates to my topic, because it is looking up stairs made of rock. It is a different way to view the stairs, because it does not look like it would be steps. This photo is strong because the point of view, texture, shape, and contrast. In the picture, as I did for the rest, I considered the depth of field and point of view.
